When Machine Gun Kelly teamed up with Travis Barker and pivoted hard into pop-punk on *Tickets to My Downfall*, plenty of people were skeptical — then the album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and the conversation changed fast. Produced almost entirely by Barker, it's a sharp, hook-driven record that draws from '90s and early 2000s punk without feeling like a costume. Guest spots from Halsey, Blackbear, Iann Dior, and Yungblud fit the record's energy rather than diluting it, and the singles "Bloody Valentine" and "My Ex's Best Friend" became genuine crossover moments. It's since gone 2x Platinum in both the US and Canada, Gold in the UK — not bad for an album critics initially approached with raised eyebrows.
