Conceived as a 'sister record' to its predecessor Folklore, it was recorded mainly with Aaron Dessner at Long Pond Studio. The album features alternative pop, chamber rock, folk-pop, and indie folk soundscapes with fingerpicked guitars, pianos, strings, subtle synths, and programmed drums. HAIM, The National, and Bon Iver appear as featured artists. Evermore debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and was nominated for Album of the Year at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards (2022).
