A concept album about nocturnal ruminations, it explores regret, self-criticism, fantasies, heartbreak, and infatuation through confessional songwriting. Musically a synth-pop, electropop, bedroom pop, and dream pop album with elements of electronica, hip-hop, and R&B, it features minimalist electronic production built on analog synthesizers, sparse drum machine beats, and digitally manipulated vocals.
