The Life of a Showgirl is the twelfth studio album by American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, released October 3, 2025 through Republic Records. Recorded in Sweden with producers Max Martin and Shellback during the European leg of the Eras Tour, the album is a soft pop and soft rock record about Swift's fame and contentment in love, featuring new wave-leaning arrangements built around piano, guitars, banjos, synthesizers, strings, and keyboards. The title track features guest vocals from Sabrina Carpenter. Three singles were released — Billboard Hot 100 number-ones 'The Fate of Ophelia' and 'Opalite', and top-three entry 'Elizabeth Taylor'. The album became the fastest-selling in US history, moving over 4 million album-equivalent units in its first week, and earned Swift her 15th number-one on the Billboard 200.
