Balance arrived in 1995 as Van Halen's commercial peak with Sammy Hagar — it debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and eventually went triple platinum in the US. Produced by Bruce Fairbairn, it's a heavier, more focused record than its predecessors, with Eddie Van Halen weaving guitar and keyboards into a tighter, darker sound. "The Seventh Seal" earned a Grammy nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance, and three instrumentals showcase the band at their most adventurous. It's also the final album to feature bassist Michael Anthony throughout — making it a genuine closing chapter for a classic lineup.

This 2025 pressing on Warner Records brings the remastered audio to vinyl, giving collectors both sonic clarity and a striking physical artifact. The disc includes a Side 4 etching, a detail that separates a thoughtful pressing from a generic reissue. New and sealed, this one hasn't been touched since the factory.
